This personal submarine worthy of James Bond comes with a £3.000.000 price tag

Aston Martin’s luxurious and innovative vehicles have been conquering the roads for decades, but they’ve recently decided it’s time to reach for a new horizon – the deep blue sea. Their latest venture was unveiled at this year’s Monaco Yacht Show, where visitors were introduced to Project Neptune, a concept for a limited-edition submarine worth £3.000.000.

Project Neptune was developed in collaboration between Aston Martin and Triton, the company known for building the most luxurious personal submarines in the world. According to their president Patrick Lahey, they’ve always seen Aston Martin as a natural partner for this thrilling endeavour.

“We have always admired Aston Martin. The marque represents a deeply held passion for technology, engineering and timeless, elegant design. Our complimentary values will be realised in this truly exciting project.” explained Lahey.

According to Marek Reichman, Aston Martin’s executive vice president, Project Neptune will be defined by its sleek and elegant exterior, reminiscent of their Valkyrie models. It will be designed to accommodate three people (including a pilot and two passengers), reach speeds of 3.4 miles per hour, dive down to 500 meters and stay under the water for up to 12 hours. Only a dozen of submarines will be available for purchase every year, making Neptune a rare collectible item only extremely rich can afford.

“Project Neptune is a flagship project for Aston Martin Consulting. It is a clear and engaging demonstration of how Aston Martin’s expertise in sports car design and craftsmanship can be extended into new aspects of the luxury world.” said Bradley Yorke-Biggs, consulting managing director at Aston Martin.
