Man who „never won a thing“ becomes $1.800.000 richer thanks to Mega Millions

There are no rules when it comes to huge lotto victories – they can happen even to people who never considered themselves very lucky. Billy Spurlock is a case in point. This man from Orange County recently collected a $1.800.000 Mega Millions windfall, despite the fact he never had any luck with games of chance in the past. Follow in his footsteps and snatch even more money in the next Powerball draw – a spectacular $177.000.000 jackpot awaits!

Mr. Spurlock correctly guessed the five main numbers 7, 16, 24, 61 and 62, but missed the Mega Ball 2 in the Mega Millions draw on October 10th. He purchased the winning ticket at the Costa Mesa Fuel gas station, located at on East 17th street in Costa Mesa – the store received a $9.000 bonus for selling it. The fortunate man was very surprised to discover his ticket is worth $1.800.000, since he was never in a situation like this before.

“I’ve never won a thing in my life. It’ll be a nice nest egg, and it’ll make for a nice Christmas,” said Mr. Spurlock.
Mega Millions has been rolling over since October 13th, when two couples from Michigan and Rhode Island shared a $42.000.000 pay-out. The latest draw that failed to transform someone into a jackpot winner took place on November 28th. The winning numbers were 10, 17, 47, 51 and 61 with the Mega Ball 5, but nobody came really close to correctly guessing them since there were no Match 5 winners that night. The jackpot increased once again, and it will amount to $145.000.000 on Tuesday.
